Memphis 3.0 Update
Public Workshops

The Memphis 3.0 Comprehensive Plan is where community voices shape the city's future. Our comprehensive planning process is more than just a series of meetings and proposals; it's an opportunity for every Memphian to play a pivotal role in charting the course for our collective growth and prosperity. Participation isn't just encouraged—it's essential. Your input fuels the vision for a more vibrant, equitable, and resilient Memphis. By engaging in this process, you're not only shaping policies and projects; you're actively contributing to the fabric of our community, ensuring that every voice is heard and every perspective considered. Together, we're building a Memphis that reflects the aspirations and dreams of all its residents. Join us in shaping tomorrow, today.
Tell us about your neighborhood's priorities. What goals do you have? What has gotten better? What needs more attention?
(Ex: We want a neighborhood grocery store.)

Help us decide what belongs where. In the future, what should you be able to do?
(Ex: A grocery store would make sense here, but not over there.)

Memphis Innovation Corridor

The Memphis Innovation Corridor TOD Plan is a strategic land use initiative designed to boost urban density near transit stops, fostering a blend of residential, commercial, and recreational spaces. This corridor links key areas of the city, including Downtown Memphis, the Memphis Medical District, and the University of Memphis, via major thoroughfares such as Second Street, BB King Boulevard, Union Avenue, and Poplar Avenue. A highlight of the plan is mConnect, Memphis’s pioneering bus rapid transit (BRT) system, which aligns with the broader Memphis Transit Vision outlined in the Memphis 3.0 Comprehensive Plan. By enhancing connectivity and accessibility, the Memphis Innovation Corridor TOD Plan aims to create a more vibrant, efficient, and sustainable urban environment.
South City Small Area Plan

During the Small Area Planning Process, community engagement was crucial to the ideation of design concepts and recommendations for neighborhood improvements and development. The Division of Planning and Development (DPD) partnered with Opticos Design to create a vision for each of the anchor-focused Small Area Plans. After several meetings with community members and other interested parties Opticos Design, DPD, and stakeholders compiled suggestions to create plans for anchor and neighborhood revitalization.
